How do you know if your vam is working my car will start up idle for around 1min the stumble and die i can't pull any codes out of it i need help my saturn just set on fire this morning

Unplug the vam and crank it up rev it a few times you should be able to tell then if its not working. been there done that! ANd if you unplug it you should get a code
88 tc 5sp, Gillis, K&N on vam, Redneck cat back exaust (nothing from the cat back) 220,000 mile short block. Rebuilt 86 head and cam.

Any of the fans running non-stop when the key is ON or engine is running? Assuming they aren't hot-wired.

fuel pressure is back up to stock 37-40 lbs and no none of the fans are running when it starts it does the same thing wether or not the vam is plugged in or not at first we couldn't get it to start whith everything hooked up theintercooler the vam i took that crap off and it ran just like before revs idle sfor a minute than stumbles and dies it will start right back up though
