Upper end price for low mile TCs?

Was just looking at this 88 TC on ebay.. priced at $24k.  Very low miles and is pretty much the exact car my Dad had when I was younger, unlike mine which is black w/grey black cloth interior.  Just looking for opinions.. is $24k reasonable for 12k mi?  It's been a while since I've even thought about car shopping and I know various forces have pushed prices for everything up.  I've always wanted one that was blue with blue leather.

I've had my bird for 17 years, but I've always wanted one just like my Dad's that wasn't trashed.

Unfortunately for most of us, at this point the turbo coupes aren't commanding much money and the car your looking at is priced quite high. Check the link for some auction results... only one hit the $24k mark and I think that was quite unusual.

That's a nice car but overpriced in my opinion. I think that is a $12-15k car unless you just have to have it then buy it with the understanding that you will likely not get your money back should you ever sell it. As mentioned these cars just don't bring a lot of money even though they're great cars.

Thank you.  Yeah I guess with used car prices generally going up I thought the TC would benefit, especially as they become rarer.  But it doesn't seem like it.  I thought $23k was up there but I wasn't sure because of the low mileage.

I keep hoping one with those specs shows up up here in Canada/Vancouver area where I am but I've not seen a TC hit the classifieds here in nearly 15 years.  And I look pretty religiously.

Just because something is rare doesn't mean it is valued. Everyone here loves a Turbo Coupe but most of the world overlooks them. They really were a unique car and way ahead of their time in a lot of ways.

Look at the sales of TC's on Bring a Trailer. These are low milage examples and good comps.

I was looking at that... I saw a blue one with cloth interior, 100k km like my current going for $7200!?  And one low mile apparently sold for $24k... they all seem to be quite elevated.

If you throw out the two outliers, the range seems to be $10-$15k over the last 4 years. But that's with the dynamics of an auction. Private sale will be lower and it was for me.
