have had this issue sinc ei did the 5 spd swap in december 04, but just knwo its tiem i asked about it.
in my 88 TC with facotry 5spd, my clutch and brake pedal are even and the throttel pedal is lower .
after i did the 5spd swap in my gray TC the pedal are differnt, my clutch pedla is normal hieght and my brake and gas are even, i know the brake pedal shoudl be even with the clutch.
do i need to change a rod in the master cylinder to correct this, or fdo i have to deal with it?
im so used to it now, but i afrfriad if someone use smy car they will misintruped the brake pedla hieght, maybe causing an accident, cant have that.
so any suggestions, anybody else run into thtis issue?
it ss 88 TC auto matic converted to 5 spd using all parts from a 83 TC (cable clutch).

Brian, Are you using a cable clutch setup? If so, maybe???? that has something to do with it. Just guessing here.

I'd say that is the problem. With the adjustability of the cable you might be able to change the "stop" point on the clutch and readjust the cable to account for it.

Here are a couple of pics that I just snapped. I hope that you can see the depth on mine. I still have the stock hydro clutch set in my TC, but this should give you an idea of what is going on.

Yeah that's exactly how mine are after the 5 speed (but hydraulic) setup swap. I'm used to equal pedals. Sometimes my foot is over too much and I catch the brake with my clutch foot.

It sounds like the clutch cable adjustment is the issue. I did the 5 speed pedal assembly swap by unbolting the auto assembly with the 5-speed assembly, and i would say the clutch and brake are somewhat aligned and the gas pedal is slightly lower (towards the firewall). I used the hydraulic clutch pedal setup.
