These are actually two cars a family friend had, she had my dad junk them a few years back. Both autos, one I think is an 84, the other I think is an 85-86. Going by the dashboards in them. Funny thing is one has a TC intercooler, but a regular hood.
Would a turbo out of one of them be a good upgrade to my IHI? What all would I need to take to swap them? What is a good quick and dirty way to nab the turbos out of the car? What tools needed? If I wouldnt be able to swap one into my car I think it would be fun to try a TT Cleveland Fairmont (LOL).
Also, any notable parts to look for in the cars?

The turbos would be T3 so they would be upgrades to the IHI.

Any idea on what... say, socket sizes I would need? I dont wanna lug an entire tool set around the junkyard or have to run back home everytime I need something I dont have.

Pull the entire exhasut manifold/turbo assembly as one and keep ALL the water and oil lines. Try to sawzall the downpipe right before the cat as your IHI one won't work.

'84 XR-7?
What steering wheel? If it's the flat 4-spoke one w/o cruise on it I might be interested in it.

Im gonna try to get over there some time and take pics of the cars.
I must ask again, what sizes are the bolts on the manifold and such, and how do I get the water/oil lines?
