Has anyone ever tried buliding a torbo coupe with twin turbos. Is it possible?

i don't think it is possible, but due to the vastness of people with too much money and time, i wouldn't rule it out.

Well I think the main reason is reduced or no lag.
Toyota did it and some other cars too.
Sequential turbos. 1 small and 1 big.

Sequential turbos are certainly possible with enough money...but theres basically no need. Sequential turbos are pretty much a thing of the past with modern turbo technology. Like porsche for example, theres no more sequential twins like the 959 etc. just a matched pair like current 911 turbo. Staged turbos have been done on tractor pulling stuff, but for street more than one just isn't needed...you'll end up breaking parts long before a very large turbo will run outta wind these days.

Know what else? You won't likely ever see a serial multi-staged turbo system (with its attendant intercoolers) in a passenger car. These systems are typically used when boost pressures in excess of 60 PSI are required, such as in farm machinery, power generating plants, and dragsters.
