turn signals, reverse lights, and boost gauge

Hi, New to the forum and I just got a 87 TC. I just put it on the road and found out the turn signals, reverse lights, and boost gauge don't work. I read a couple other threads on the turn signals and boost gauge, but was wondering if there were any other ideas of stuff to check. The turn Signal switch assembly was replaced by previous owner a few years or so ago. I checked the fuses and they seemed fine. The reverse bulbs are good and I haven't even began on the boost gauge. Also just thought of another, the abs light is on. So after all of that, any ideas?

Welcome to NATO.

I would take a look into the ignition switch and turn signal flasher for the turn signal issue. Are your High Beams stuck on?

No Reverse lights may be because of a disconnected switch at the transmission.

The boost gauge issue is most likely a split or disconnected vacuum line. The guauges vacuum line runs from the vacuum tree through the firewall to the gauge cluster.

Actually that was another problem. The high beams will flash but will not stay bright. Also I forgot to mention the hazard lights still work, so does the TC's use a separate relay for the turn signals or the same as the hazzards?

Is there any one spot that tends to break on the vacuum line for the boost gauge or just start tracing the line?

Separate flashers for turn signals and 4 way flashers.

Just check the vac line from the vac tree to the boost gauge and look for cracks / disconnects.

Checked the lines from turbo, definitely could be the problem. Hard to believe it is that much of a mess from the factory. guessing someone changed some stuff. As for the turn signals, replacing the flasher relay didn't help, so I guess I got to keep looking.

If your car is equipped with auto dimming headlights, make sure that it is turned off and then see if the brights will work.

I guess the auto dim doesn't work right anymore, you turn that feature off and the highbeams work fine. Still trying to figure out the turn signals though.

Okay so haven't had much time to look at any of the problems because of Turkey day. Today was double checking the fuses and somehow I overlooked the actual fuse for the turn Signals and reverse lights. Turns out there want one in it. I pulled the fuse for the fog lights and put it in the spot for turn signals. As soon as I did it immediately blew. So apparently I have a short somewhere. Anyone have a good place to start looking?

Pull the steering column covers and have a look at the MFS connectors and wires as a start. Also check the bulb sockets and bulbs for damage.

Ok so I was trying to add a couple pictures, but they are too big. I found the problem on my turn signals, apparently the voltage Regulator on the back of the instrument cluster went bad or something because all of the circuits that lead to it are fried, like kfc extra crispy fried. I replaced the fuses with the instrument cluster removed, turn signals and reverse lights work. Now to see if I can figure out something with the voltage Regulator.
