If someone were so inclined, I don't think it'd be too far fetched to take a Focus, get one of the 5.0L Kugel Performance conversion kits, and swap in a turbo 2.3 instead. Baddabing!- rear- wheel drive, turbo-powered paperweight. Done.
If you could do that with a *factory* turbo 2.3 Duratech, then you'd have the modern part down. Help me out here, Ford...

Couldn't hurt. I recall a movement by the public in the early 90s to prevent Ford from producing and manufacturing a front wheel drive TBird. The Ford enthusiast magazines were behind that one.
