Ford part # E3ZZ-9450-A gasket, comes in a pkg. of two. This is a metal gasket that goes between the turbo and the manifold. Hope this helps.

I didn't think that gasket was necessary. -heard of people just using...was it some sort of copperpaste?

the turbo dodges (TDs) which use the same T3 turbo and same size and shape turbo mounting flange (albeit with a different bolt pattern) do not have a gasket here - neither from the factory nor do the regular TD guys use one

the TD's rely on ABSOLUTELY flat mounting surfaces on both the exh mani and the turbo turbine housing flange for effective sealing

THEN a medium thick film of regular wheel bearing grease is applied to one surface

RESIST the urge to overtighten the turbo <-> exh mani nuts as this will warp the flange a smidge creating a leak - DAMHIK

this is the normal protocol for 1000's of hard running TD's - including my 13.7 second omni

I usually use a Big floor mounted belt/disc sander to resurface the flanges (using the belt part); when I did my E3 I paid $25 for a local machine shop to do teh same thing
