hey happy new year! i have a question. i love t-birds mostly 87 up. im just curious the major performance differences between the supercoupe and turbo. i prefer turbo but the body style of the supercoupes is just as unique as the turbos. im caught between them. i have a turbo now. ive owned at least 5 88 models and 3 89 models. what car is the most likley to put out serious power. i know the 2.3 is powerful but is the supercharged 6 close. also im thinking of buying a 6cyl 88 bird id like to do a twin turbo project. the thought of 2 turbo as to 1 is making hairs stand up. 1 more thing if anybody cares the guy at procarparts said he needs 800 signatures to make a white face guage that reads 140mph i cant stand the 80mph i looks slow. i know someone is making 140 speedo but the blue color they give off with some neons looks amazing. thanks for the time peace

The most popwerful SC I know of is Coy Miller's. He runs somewhere in the mid 300rwhp range(325rwhp at Carlisle 2001) and runs in the 11's. I bet he has well over $10,000 in that engine. The most powerful TC I know of is Brian Bitter's(see Carlisle Pics. 2001). He has dynoed over 400rwhp and it wasn't running right. That car should put out over 500rwhp properly tuned. I bet he has around $5000 in his engine. There are many 2.3 turbos in the 10's and 9's in the quarter. I don't know of any 3.8SC's faster than the mid-high 11's. On a side note the 325rwhp SC sounds wicked. You can hear the supercharger whining at redlights. No sleper factor. Brian's TC sounds like it is stock(or any other 2.3 with a ultraflow muffler) with an exhaust leak. Big sleeper factor.
