How does it compare to the Garrett T3? Aren't they like a 63 trim? And was thanks guys. Sorry Im posting a stang question on the Tbird forum. Im just not register on any stang forums. Very good friend. There is no comparison to the performance of the t3 to the t3/t4. The t4 compressor section has been mated to the t3 turbine, resulting in much greater performance capability. The 50 trim refers to the difference between the inducer and exducer of the compressor wheel(ratio between the two). The .63 refers to the turbine section.

Check the exhaust housing for a casting number. Look for.63 or .48. The .63 is the most desirable for horse power at the mid to top end of the RPM range. A .48 is good for quick spool low to mid RPM range (quick acceleration, but dies off above 4500).

Yes Sir, run it....but if has been sitting for a while, run a little oil through the chra oil port and give it a spin. That will put a little film on the bearing surface. After you have it installed in the car, unplug the coil wire and turn the engine over to get oil pressure up before starting it.

Have fun
