Hey, I have a 88 LS 5.0 and I was wanting to put a turbo on it. I wanted to know if it was possible if I could do that and if it was would it be possible to have 2 of them on it? Ive seen many imports w/ dual turbos on them and was wondering if I could do the same to mine with the T/C's turbo? If so could someone tell me what steps i would need to do to get it done right. Thank you

you can get someone to fabricate the headers (go to red headers to get an idea of what you got to do) you can get two turbos from the junk yard from any turbo coupe with the matching intercoolers mount the coolers in the front and the get someone to fabricate the a 3 inch downpipe exhaust you probably gonna have to cut into the fire wall to get the down pipes to fit just my two cents but i think it would be cheaper just to get a supercharger ive thought of the idea myself it could work but the expense was not worht it

well for starters a pair of 3 inch down pipes run for about 120 each then red header will charge you about 1000 for a pair of headers the two turbos with intercoolers about 300 to 500 with all the hoses and brackets then the exhaust another 300 so you figure about 2000 estimate maybe cheaper

It costs around $10k to have a 5.0 twin turbo setup professionally done on a Mustang. If you get good at it you could make it a profitable hobby. [Image: smile.gif]

I just want to be able to talk junk and back it up =]. Plus i want to run for titles down at the local drag strip. Hopefully I will do good.

This is a local guy - with a famous car. [Image: smile.gif]

Twin-turbo 302 in a Fairmont. The shortblock and turbos are straight from TCs. With no intercooler, carbed, and cast iron Windsor Jrs, he has run a best (so far) of 9.86/138. [Image: biggrin.gif] You ought to see his other Fairmont - the one he's building for his wife. That is gonna be the fast one. [Image: wink.gif]

Just be aware that the 5.0 SO motor in the Tbirds / Cougars have cast pistons, so I wouldnt go too high on the boost unless you switch to HO forged pistons.
