I am moving and there are 9 TCs on my property.  I met with Andy today about buying them and he told me that taking parts to Carlisle
is not about big parts anymore (engines, heads, etc.).  He said about the only thing that sells are small interior parts so he wasn't
interested in any of my cars.  So sadly 4 - 5 are going to the crusher.  I'm not going to pull parts per se because I'm trying to get the
place cleaned up and sell it and I'm way to busy.  The only part I care to deal in is the head.

In years past turbo heads were hard to come by.  Well I'm going to have at least 5 of them available.  I hope $150 a piece is fair.
I figure I can put them in the trunk and bring them to Carlisle if anyone is interested.  Let me know.

Fred

First all have been sitting outside for years so I have my fears about the undercarriage and of course the interiors suffer also.
Andy and I did a quick look through yesterday and there were several I was going to hold back from the crusher with the hopes
of getting them on the road.  Then there is always the issue of mice.  That said you're welcome to come take a look and I'm not
looking to get rich just sad they aren't inside.  Price is very negotiable.  I'm located just outside of York.

One is burgundy with dual seats and not sure what other options.
Two black ones, one with red interior, one with the gray/blue interior.
Two silver ones which possibly could be made into one.  They are both automatics.

York is about 70 miles west of where my Stepdad lives.  Do you happen to have any photos of the cars?
I'm going back down next week and will get some pictures of them.  Fred

perfect, thanks!

Andrew,

I didn't take any pictures because they are just too far gone.  All have major mouse infestation and weather damage from sitting out so long.  I opened the
doors on one to take some interior pictures and it reeked so I don't think there is anything you want.

Andy the Turbocoupe parts vendor that's always at the show has a 87 or 88 not sure, Maroon 5 speed he's bringing to the show.  He is asking $1500 for it
and says it runs good.  Andy's number is 717-566-3806.  I cleared it with him to give out his number.

John,

Have one reserved for you.  If you need to contact me for anything perhaps private messages are best going forward.

See you at Carlisle.

That’s too bad about the damage.

It’s kind of the same as: if we knew 20 or so years ago we would still be driving our cars, would we have bought more parts for them, knowing they wouldn’t be around much longer?

I know I realized as early as 1997 that I was going to be needing parts, and back then the salvage yard was still a (mostly) viable option. When that dried up there was eBay. Still, it makes me sick that there is probably a landfill somewhere full of parts we could really use now.
Another proud dues-paying member.

1987 Turbo Coupe w/T5OD, 8.8 axle, grey smoke; most options. Got it in 1991 with 41K miles: 3 turbos, 2 heater cores, 3 T5OD full rebuilds, 6 clutches, 1 head gasket, 2 Teves II ABS units, etc. later....

Not really.  I have a non-turbo head that was on my last one when it blew a head gasket.  The engine was pinging and I tried to stay out of the turbo but before I could get it changed the HG blew.  I've thoughts of taking it to a machine shop and having the material milled out to make it match a turbo head.  I have couple of complete engines that are in cars that I haven't decided what to do with yet.  Wanted to put one in a TR6 that I also have.  Where are you located?  Shipping would be prohibitive for sure.  Fred

Movinup,
When I was looking for a good turbo head, I came across a good find in a boat. Back in the late 80's early 90's OMC marine used Ford 2.3's in their set ups. The heads used are open chamber D ports, same as the turbo heads. I found one local, had it checked for cracks and it is good. Some online sellers have the dual plug heads, but others I have found have the turbo head. Or maybe ask around some marinas for old engines. Not saying it's going to be easy to find one, but it is another source. Here is the thread I started about it.
