tune up set up

Hey guys and gals I wanted to post this to see what everyone thinks and hear about the set up you all are using

I was talkin to the guy who bought the stock tc wheels I had and he said to set the gap on the plug from .25 too .30. I set mine at .30 and have been drivein it for a day now and it seems that it is runnin A LOT better then before.

I have the bc set for around 17 or 18 it is a eatin bc and after I did the tune up the factory boost g show a 1 too 1.5 boost gain.

Is this possible to get more psi juz from a tune up?

Now for what I am thinkin about doin and want to know if anyone else has and how it works.

I am lookin in to puttin on a mds or excle coil and control box. What do you al think?
My roommate put on a 2 step rmp limiter and I don't think this is something for a everyday driver. This should be for the track.

I'm not buildin a track car or a weekend drag racer juz a fun toy and daily driver that will whip on a ricer or 2.

Let me know what you all think

The stock ignition stuff is pretty good. Unless you need special features, or you got a defective part, I'd save the money.

You don't think it would be a idea to upgrade? I heard the spark breaks up at high rpm and addin a msd box would keep that from happening. I do run at high rpms at times but it mostly freeway. When I am runnin red light to redlight I don't go over 5000rpm. I know that seems low to some but that's high to me. :>)

I agree with Pete, if the car is running good why waste money on a new stuff that doesn't upgrade anything. Buy some other goodie you've been wanting. I would think it's possible the PSI is up because the engine is burning fuel better. The exhaust gas created with better burning should raise the exhaust pressure and volume and make the compressor spin faster.

So is it a bad thing with it haveine the higher egt temps? I don't have a egtg in the car to watch it.

Also I still have a problem of the damn thing fallin on it face on hard lanch or after rolling and try to get on it.

Sents I did the tune up itz not as bad but still there. I realy want it fixed I look like a fool when it does it and can't whip on anything with it happening. This realy realy bugs the hell out of me.

I want to put the 60mm tb on but I think I need to get this worked out first.

What do you all think????????????????

How much gas you got in the tank when it falls flat on launch?

Don't worry about. It just means you needed the tuneup in the first place.

Good strategy, get it running right first.

It doent matter how much gas is in it. There can be a half tank or full and it does it.
I have noticed that when I'm low on gas like in the red lol it acts up more then when there's more gas in it.

I have also noticed that when I shift and I do let off the gas the rpms go up at times. I have been after my roommate to mess with it he has the ohm meter and messes with his trin to get his rite but he never has the time.

If it has something to do with the tps and I put the other tb it has a tps off the 5.0 and it may straten it up. I know there not the same partnumber and they say they are differnt but I had a truck wit the 5.0 and the tps was bad and toke one from a mustang and it was great and had no trouble.

Do you think it could be the tps????
