Hey guys, I'm going to put a tubular front end setup on the 87 tbird. just wanting to make sure that the QA1 mustang k-member and a-arms will work.

mustang and t-bird k members are different. a mustang k member might work with spacers or something.....then again, the spacers might mess up the geometry or cause another problem.....i'm not sure. i do know they are different.
fox mustang control arms are too short. '94-'04 mustang control arms are the correct length.

I dont know about a 88 car but I do know the qa1 k-member for 79-95 fox body will fit an 86 car for sure, so I would assume it will work with a 87-88 car too......I do know the arms were different from factory so you may need to goto standard mustang arms or 86 tbird style.

oh btw if your sticking with a 2.3 I dont know if theres any differences there in mounting etc. I went with a 5.0 swap at the time.....it has mounting for both mod motor and sbf

If the QA1 fits, Chuck W's "Type 1" mounts will bolt the 2.3T right up to it.

If your trying to put a wider tire on the front it would help to run a early fox length (79-93) arms on the front. Heck, even if I was sporting the drag wheel thing on a 87-up TC I wouldn't mind having the additional tuck of a shorter pre 87 TC arm, you can get the car lower and increase by a small amount the turn radius of the tire.
