I have the trip minder powered up and all
That, just need help locating and hooking up the vss and fuel flow. Wire colors also

All Info I found was on 86's. But the vss should be on the Trans hump by gas pedal? I don't know the color though.

My buttons don't work well either, I read somewhere before it could be cleaned up and they work as new

I just finished this on my 88. I followed the wiring instructions from the article referenced by Pete. It was fairly simple. I had enough wire length to tap into the VSS and the fuel flow from the wiring coming from the computer behind the kick panel.

Thanks a lot. I didn't see that wright up its perfect. Thanks a ton ! Can't wait to see the fuel economy.

I'm a little disappointed though that my trip minder is the more bluish color rather than the neon green like my radio

I found my driving style has changed significantly when I have the instant fuel economy or even the average econ on and am paying attention. Sometimes if I don't want to drive like a hypermiling Prius ecophile, I'll ignore the fuel mileage function for a while. I'm a data junkie and this little addition is fun, though. If I add 50 years to my driving style age, I can get 30+ on trips, but typically get around 24-25 in city/highway mixed driving.

Thats EXACTLY what I found when I put in a Tripminder in my TC 10 years ago. Tripminder has probably saved me $500+ in gas costs over the last 10 years.
