Trim color help

I would like to touch up the trim on my '86 medium regatta blue TC. It's a sort of gunmetal grey. Does anyone know the paint code for this. The door jam tag doesn't seem to have anything for the trim color. I guess it was a standard color for '86?

My search here came up with;
the PPG part codes:
Molding Trim - 33695
Window (Blackout) Trim - 33717

But this may be for 84/85, I'm not sure from the post. Anyone?

If its the same as the 83's, get in touch with Frank M (turbo83coupe). He had the trim on his 83 re-done, and the color is right on.

There is a pretty good picture on his cardomain site..

The correct paint and color is made by SEM Products. The paint is #39153 Bumper Coater and the clear is #13013 Satin Gloss. You can't tell the difference between painted and new. My old and new trim matches perfectly. Any good body shop supply house should have it.

Keith, just so I don't misunderstand you. The window moulding trim is 39153 Bumper Coater? And you used this on the bumper moulding extension of the wide side moulding?

Thanks for the info.

Keith, I was able to find 39153 Bumper Coater at the SEM web site but not the 13013 Satin Gloss. Any chance you made a mistake with the number for the gloss?

Keith,
Found the Bumper Coater and Satin Gloss in aerosol cans at Auto Body Depot. Good enough for now. Did you also use SEM products for the primary color? In your pics is that also the med regatta blue I mentioned. It looks like it could be a little darker. Your car is a beaut! I can hope and aspire to get mine to that stage.
Thanks

I used the SEMS exclusively on all the trim and molding that I reused, including the bumper and window trim. You can't see any difference between old and new. I also used the self etching primer on the metal. The only problem I had was on hot humid days. The clear wanted to blister on hot humid days. As far as the color of the car, it's Duponts Chromabase version of Medium Regatta Blue. I think it has a slight grey tint to it. If it was parked by an original car you would probably see what I mean. I actually like the color better then when I bought it new.

Keith,
I like it also, I've recorded the info for my future paint job. Looks wonderful.
