Hey guys. My '86 TC is the Medium Canyon Red with gray along the bottom of the doors and fenders. My question is, is the trim around the rear and side windows supposed to be a "smoked" gray color, or is it supposed to be black? I need to repaint the trim, because the paint is flaking in spots and leaving a chrome color, but I don't know if the sun has faded the trim out to that "smoked" gray color or if it was originally black. Thanks for your info!

That was originally "Dark smoke". Dark charcoal grey. It matched the Dark rubber belt moulding almost exactly. (Other opinions may vary, you could wait for confirmation from others)

I've used this to get a good match. But I don't think I'd call it "Dark charcoal".
Window trim moulding
SEM 39153 Ford bumper coat
SEM 13013 satin clear top coat
SEM 39683 self etching primer, gray
Edit: After going outside and looking in the light, I find I could call it "Dark Charcoal". Must be my age affecting my memory.
