I have 86 TC 5 speed that has a tranny leak thats dripping on the cat and smoking, I know its the tranny because the fluid color. I have checked and replaced the outputshaft seal and it doesnt look like it is the tailshaft to housing seal and the speedonmeter gear i checked. Is there anywhere else iam missing besides up top by the shifter? The drivers side of the tranny is where is seems to be coming from because that is where it is dirty, the passenger side is clean. Any suggestions would be apprieciated.

just b/c you replaced the ts seal doesnt mean it cant leak there. If your yoke is worn out and concave, then the seal probably isnt closing around the yoke all the way. other then that make sure the big O ring is on the speedo gear sensor.

A good way to find leaks is to clean the underside off with carb cleaner. Spray it down let it dry. then take it for a drive to help see the dirtyness once it clean. this should pinpoint you to the leak. Spray the back of the motor as well.
