On my 1987 turbo coupe 5 speed the other night while i was driving it became really hard to get into gear,i would have to revit it up a little. then i checked the fluid level for the clutch and it was almost completely out i refiled it but it didnt seem to get much better. the clutch is fairly new and in good shape. Any help is appreciated

The hydraulic clutch system is like a brake system. It has to be bled. There is a valve for this on the slave cylinder - on the side of the bell housing. It's near where the line from the master cylinder connects. Be sure to keep the resevoir full as you bleed it.
Suffice it to say that if it went dry something is leaking. You can kind of peel back the rubber boot on the slave cylinder to see how much moisture is in there. Some moisture is normal but if it's dripping, the dslave is leaking. If it's OK then the problem is in the line or the master cylinder.
When everything is working correctly, the rod between the slave and the clutch fork will move a minimun of 0.53" when the clutch is pushed to the floor.
