86 TC. Tried getting them off today with no luck. They have no jamnuts. I tried vice grips on the inner tie rod and a 7/8" wrench on the flats of the outer tie rod end. No luck. Lots of PB blaster, even heat, still no luck. Why won't they come off! Any hints?

I guess I should clarify so I don't get a bunch of repeated stuff. It's already been seperated from the spindle (easy). I marked the position with white paint so I know how far to put the new one back on. I will also count number of turns. I just cant get the old end to spin off.

generally the problem on these cars with the tie rods being exposed at the bottom. some heat will probably help. spray down with penetrating oil and allow to sit for a few days.

Heat gently with a torch or heat gun, spray PB Blaster on it. Let cool and sit overnight. The heat and then cooling will draw the penetrating oil into the threads.

And use a pipe wrench(s). They are tough and you won't hurt the tie rods. A flat wrench you're just begging to wack yourself w/it when it slips.
