I have a bad computor code for the tps on one of my 1988 turbo coupes(the nice one). The part number on it is: E7ZF-9B989-CA-7M1B. I have another 1988 that runs good but has always been a Minnesota car and is rusted and will end up being my parts car. The part number on this tps is E6ZF-9B989-AB-9J15L. I called my NAPA parts store and he had two parts #'s listed. Both of my cars are 5 speeds. Does anyone know the difference between the two part numbers? Can I switch? I saw the technical article here on adjusting it but nothing about different part numbers.

Motorcraft: CX-1135 (E6ZZ-9B989-A)

That's the number I got off a box from Ford for an 88 5 spd.

I imagine you spare will work but I don't really know why the different P/Ns
