This is what happens

i just pulled my ihi turbo off bird that was pushing 18psi. but when got the car it was pushing about 24psi. and the turbo is no good anymore it has about an inch of in&out play. and about a quart of oil in the intercooler. But soon i'll have my other turbo on so bird can fly again.

My IHI was the same way.... I was shocked it still boosted at all like that.
