Ha made you look, but i too am still looking for that rack, but my tc rack has finally been replaced!!I hope I dont have to do that again for a while 14 years of being on there it did not want to come off,but did take the suggestions on doing tie-rod ends and new lines at the same time actually we broke the pressure side but i had the new one on hand. Now i,m going to replace the sway bar bushings&end links with urathane ones-where do i get the urathane ones? Also can i replace my rear prc shoks with "standard shocks?and if so what brands are recomended?
Thanks,Mike65

P-S-T (www.p-s-t.com)sells polygraphite bushings for the TC. First you have to measure the swaybar. I plan on using monroe shocks for mine. IMO i would use the Monroe Sensatrac if you are wanting to get a good bang for the buck. Here is a sight with good prices: http://www.downeyautomotive.com/shocks.html

If you have a 87-88 TC your front swaybar will be 1 5/16" diameter. If you buy from Energy Suspension, do *not* buy the greasable ones, they do not fit even though it says they will. I made my own with the standard bushings (which do have the grease channels) and drill out your stock brackets and put grease nipples on them.

87 TC 5-speed Black, loaded. 17psi, G3 alternator, KB subs, Grant steering wheel, custom greasable swaybar bushings, K&N. Soon to have KB Trackit Axle brackets, Maximum Motorsports lower control arms, T-3, Saab intercooler, ranger roller cam Gen1 DSM BOV and rebuilt front suspension.

My girlfriend's 87 TC has the monroe sensatrac shocks on it with z rated cooper cobras. It handles like a dream. Much better than my original PRC.

So Mike65 after you put your new rack in did the power-steering noise go away? Tht winning noise is embarrising when you pull up[ beside another car.
Tank
88 TC auto silver full load/sunroof 147K K&N cone filter, Gillis valve set at 17 lbs. This thing looks cool but is dog compared to my 87 5sp that now has motor out and is being rebuilt.(slowly)May make one killer car from these two yet.

Tank, the whinning noise isn't necessarily a bad rack...it's air in the PS fluid. Jack up both sides of the front end. Make sure the PS fluid is full. Then turn the wheels L to R (almost but not quite chock to chock) SEVERAL times. Keep making sure to check the PS fluid level as you go. Eventually the whinning and moaning will go away.

Worst case, there is a vac system that will evacuate the air from the system.

The guy that had the car before I bought it for my girlfriend put the sensatracs on it. He didn't say if he had to do any mods to get them to fit, sorry.
