Ok im madder than a t rex trying to take a ball cap off his head...i just got my tc going good and strong since the cam went out i had to replace the starter and solenoid and i set the timing right and fixed a few small things but now the cam plate fell off andthe cam slid fwd and wore the #3 exhaust lobe down at a angle so ervery time i rev the motor it kicks the follower off

Yeah that's a real bummer, man. Is the wolverine cam a slider? Do you know why the screws holding the plate on backed out? If I had a cam to give you, I would. I've been through two of them, myself, in the past few years which is why I now run a Ranger cam.

I can only say that the cheapest option is probably going to be finding a used Ranger Roller and follower set. They cam in 89 to 93 Rangers and 91 to 93 Mustang 2.3s. Power is close to the stock slider but being a roller it should last a long time and they are pretty cheap used if you look around.

I usualy flip the cam p;ate backwards and then intsall two 10mm bolts instead. Never had them back out.

Just get a good ranger cam and blow on it real hard. Rnager cams are cheap and are darn near bulletproof. It will be a cheap quick fix until you get another aftermarket cam.

If you're looking for a stock slider, I have 2 I posted in the "Free parts" thread. Shoot me a pm if interested and cover shipping and it's yours. The only problem is I don't know when I can get to the post office to ship. lmk

Ok here's my question can I run a n/a 2.3 cam in my car?
And how do the cars run with the roller cams?
And here's the cam I had before it quit

Yea you can run an NA cam but you don't want a radical cam.

They run fine with roller cams but again, you don't want radical.

Cams with a lot of overlap reportedly don't work well in turbo setups. My experience with the A-237 which is a high end cam with overlap is that it is a dog below 3k rpms. This gets worse as bigger turbos are used.
