The spoiler was an idea I've had for some time. We got the steel, did some shaping and welding, and there we go.
The hood has the '72 Torino center in it. Looks perfect top and bottom, as if Ford had made it themselves. My good friend Jerry did that hood work. I also have three scoops that were painted as well for it. had extras, so may as well paint them.
Hard to tell in the pics, but when the sun hits the paint, it has a nice pale gold tint to it, and at night, its actually kind of dark. Perfect for me. I wanted a color I never see on other cars, especially ours. He did the jambs as well, and color matched the mirrors and side trim.
Instead of the red or chrome strip that runs down the middle of the body side molding, I have some black trim that will be going into the moldings. The center moldings will be left off.
The c-pillar emblem holes, trunk emblem holes, and antenna hole have all been welded shut.
I'm currently restoring the tail lights, then hopefully this weekend they will go on, along with the new tail light sequencer.
New carpet and seats this spring along with engine mods.
That's the story for now, pics when the rest of it is together. I still have to install the Mach 1 chin spoiler and Bullitt gas lid (painted to match the car...I hate those big silver dots on the side of cars).

Thanks Pete. The color is a 1970 only, Corvette color. Donnybrook Green. It's a metallic with a slight goldish hue when the sun hits it. Different without being stupid. These cars can't wear just any color like a Mustang can.

Sweet, the car looks great. Looks like a lot of work went into the prep. The color is really different but it sets the body style off, good choice. Let me know how the sequencer works out I have mine but I haven't installed it yet. I guess you tag doesn't apply anymore "No details will be given or spoken of"

No, the "tag" still applies to under the hood. I never speak of the engine. As far as the body, a LOT of work went into it .I really wanted a color that let the body lines speak for themselves. I have stick on stuff and stripes. Can't stand it. These cars have great lines, and I tried to be somewhat subtle.

I agree that the choice of color is complimentary to the TC's lines.

Here we go.... a few pics... I still have to install the black strip that goes through the side moldings, and adjust the front passenger side trim molding. it's about a 1/4 inch too far back. easy stuff. I also have to reinstall a lot of interior and clean it well.
I replaced the trunk hinge on the passenger side after these were taken. The threads on both got stripped. Not a big deal, back in business. i also removed the trunk hinge tension rods and will be installing a strut for the trunk asap.
I also have other chores as well. painting the front and rear window trim, Installing the restored tail lights when I finish them, and the tail light sequencer. All of that will be done as it gets done. As time allows.
