I am trying to compile a bucnh of TC information together and have looked all over this site but have failed to come up with the answers i am looking for.

how many TC were made in each of the years of production? domestic? export? canada?

what are the paint color/codes available for the various years?

how much do the 83-86tc weigh?

what are the interior colors/style available for the various years?

in telling them apart on the outside.
what year did they stop putting the badge on the fender and swith to the Turbocoupe in the door molding?

on the inside when did the inst. cluster style change?

on the 87tc was only the drv. seat power and 88 both were?

on the 88tc inst cluster there is a light for the ride control that indicates when it is on or off. was ride control available for the 87?

was the center console the same from 83-88 obvouly with the exception of the pass side power seat controls in the later year(s)

thats about it for now

Thanks
Troy

You can find most if not all the answers in the book "Tbird - 45 Years of Thunder" by John Gunnell & James T. Lenzke, Krause Publications. Their phn # 715-445-2214
The ISBN is 0-87341-581-7
I got mine at either Amazon or Borders

You only need two tools in life; WD-40 and Duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should use WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use Duct Tape.

well, here are some facts that i know of hand...

- the turbo coupe emblems was on the door molding from 85-88. with efi turbo badges on the front fenders from 83-84.
- interior trim is a different color on 83-84 and 85-88. 83-84 was black with a diffent (rougher) texture while 85-88 is a dark charcoal. this includes the leather on the center console.
- gauge cluster is the same on 83-84 (6k tach), 85-86 (7k tach). and 87-88 (6k tach). 85-86 and 87-88 can innerchange, but the firm ride light won't do anything. ride control is an 87-88 item.
- 83-84 had the mirror knob. 86-88 had the switch assy.
- power passanger seats where avalible on 83-88 (look on the bottom of the plate for the cut out).
- power locks where optional on 83-86 (and i believe 87-88). the cars that had no PL's had a blank plate on the door with no logo.(yes, there where some)
- wing window where optional on 83-86 cars. later cars are a little rarer.
- halo headrests where avalable on the 83-84 cars. i had an 83 that had the standard "small" headrests, so i don't know if anyone has these on there cars from the factory.
- 83-84 rear seats don't have the "head bump/rest" like the 85-86 do.

as i come up with facts, i'll let you know.
