Does anyone know if 87/88 TC mirrors are the same as 85/86 TC mirrors? I know the doors will physically interchange, but the body lines won't match up. Are the mirrors different too? Thanks.

There are windsplitters on the 1987-88 mirrors but they can usually be attached to slightly older mirrors because the attachment holes are in the correct positions. Some older ones (1983-84) cannot support the windsplitters because they only have 2 of the 3 mounting holes.

Essentially, the 1983-86 mirrors have the attachment bolts screwed directly into the mirror housing. On 1987-88 cars the main attachment bolts are part of the windsplitters. The splitters then get bolted to the housings. So there is like an extra step in there. Again, 1985-86 mirror housings are usually okay to bolt those splitters to.

Thanks for the info. I looked over the windsplitter thing on the 87/88 mirror tonight and see it does have a P/N on it that starts with E7xx, so that part was new for 87. I guess I'll give it a shot and see what happens. Thanks again.
