I have had a thing for Turbo Coupes since my high school years in the 90s. Recently I came across a TC in Indiana with super low miles (5600) a d it is pretty pricey ($15,000). I have been thinking about calling the guy, but I was wondering what you guys thought about that price. I think I saw that car on here from 2014, but I cant track down the thread.
They seem to be rising in price recently, so I am just wondering if it is worth it...

Might be worth it if it is in virtually showroom condition, but remember age takes its toll on parts, seals, etc just as much, or even more, as miles driven do. If you do get it, and plan to drive it, and not just look at it every day, expect to have to spend some $$ getting it in shape to actually be driven.

I think the sticker price on it new (IIRC) was around $18K. Of course that was without certain options, and tax, registration, dealer fees, etc.
Half the fun—for me, anyway—would be getting a car with some things that needed fixed/replaced, and setting about doing that. Nothing too big...although admittedly if I really liked the overall appearance of the car that might not matter as much.
Like Jeff said, you have to decide why you are purchasing it. Will it be a Daily Driver, a weekend ride, or a show piece? I know if I bought a car with 5600 miles and it was in the kind of shape I would expect for that low mileage, I’d probably be nervous about using it as a Daily Driver. Lots of idiots out there.

1987 Turbo Coupe w/T5OD, 8.8 axle, grey smoke; most options. Got it in 1991 with 41K miles: 3 turbos, 2 heater cores, 3 T5OD full rebuilds, 6 clutches, 1 head gasket, 2 Teves II ABS units, etc. later....
