I've been reading on possibly upgrading the TB on the 88 TC and read that the stock ones are pretty good to about 350hp. As I was reading over on Turboford, I found a guy that mentioned by moving the stock linkage over to the other hole on the linkage, it moves the action faster and gives a better throttle response to a stock TB. I just did this over the weekend, and I must say, it works! I always felt my TC was kind of lazy in building boost, especially with a T3/T4 hybrid on it compared to the stock IHI, but by moving the linkage connection to the passenger side hole, it has a much better response feel to it. To move it, I had to use an old carburetor throttle stud I had in the parts bin, drill out the original ball mount, re adjust the cruise control linkage and snap in the throttle cable. it must change the ratio on the linkage, as it feels much better. You all might want to try it, I'm keeping it there.
