I have an 88tc and i am really considering swapping the IHI to the T3. Now i have come across this Garrett t3 on ebay and need some opinions.

Does this seem to be a resonable price?? Is there any advice on where to maybe find a t3 cheaper? I have read the faq on the ihi to t3 conversion but i just want to make sure if i would buy this particular one it would work (bolt up) with little problems.
Thanks

The current price is (too me) not bad. The "buy it now" price is too high for a rebuilt, stock T3, in my opinion. This does not mean you wouldn't pay just as much at some rebuilders. If you decide to go for it, get the water cooled version.

So basically this will bolt up to my manifold and downpipe. I know i will have to elongate the downpipe holes or swap to a 3". I will also need a oil return line (oil cooled), but what about a water cooled??

My brother got a T3 with an intercooler for $200 bucks. For as much as that one, you could buy a whole 85 TC, keep the turbo, and sell the rest and make money to rebuild it and then have some left.
