T-3 Turbo???

Well I have a 87 TC and i was wanting to know if a T-3 turbo will fit in the stock location?? I have been looking for a SVO Turbo cause I plan on hooking it up to NOS when I chage turbo's. Do you recemend that i put a 3 inch down pipe on it when I change turbo's? Thanks for the help.

Yes it will fit...
The 3"dp would be a nice addition, and will help lower the boost threshold.
Also, look into porting the E6, that too will help spool up.

Besides NOS, check out the other nitrous vendors, many of'em are making very nice kits. Shop around, never hurts...

Lots of people have converted to T3s on 87-88 TC. a 3" DP is always a wecome improvement, but the whole exhaust system should be upgraded.

Depends on how much money you want to spend. IF you're like me and don't wanna go all out. Find one on ebay that has been rebuilt recently or it in good enough condition that you can rebuild it yourself.

If you are planning on using the stock IC, try to get a T3 with the SVO compressor housing, which is "plug and play" with the stock IC (no need to cut off flanges, reclock housing, etc).
