T-3 return line position

I am (trying) to put a T-3 in my 88 and everytime I try try to put the E-6/turbo in and onto the block, the manifold keeps hitting the oil return line.Which way is this damn thing supposed to be facing to clear the manifold?I tried to reposition the line, but there's only one drawback, the nut on the bottom of the line where it screws into the adapter on the block will not turn independently of the line. They are stuck together,so I have to spin the whole line to tighten it down, and then the top flange no longer lines up.Help?Suggestions?

I'm not sure what your seeing. You should be able to carefully bend the return line (RL) out of the way. This assumes you are not trying to put the RL through the turbo support bracket as you put the turbo and EXh manifold on. You might be better off to remove the return line from the block before trying to put the turbo/exh manifold in. This would get it out of the way and also give you a chance to work on it on the bench to free it up at the block end. Even if it doesn't free up you can get it reinstalled, thru the support bracket by going slow and bending it to clear things as you tighten the fitting at the block. Then attach it to the turbo flange

On the top end of the return line, the end that goes on the turbo, the flange is notched on one side,is that the side that is supposed to go next to the turbo or does it matter? It seems like one of the bolts holding my compressor housing on is in the way of this thing mounting up.... right next to me I have a can of gas and a box of matches...and my driveway is downhill....hmmm

I would use a propane torch, lightly on the nut part and then spray WD40 in between pipe and threaded nut part.
Try to work it lose gently.
Then you can position pipe any way you need to.

Mine was seized up as well but when I tightened it into block it lined up perfectly.
I guess I lucked out.

If I remember right that notch is to clear one of the compressor housing bolts.
