I think some folks have used the non-finned outlet tube for the T3 and cut that down so they didn't actually have to grind on the turbo. You may be able to find one in a salvage yard, and they usually run about $10+ shipping when they show up on e(vil)Bay. If neither of those work for you, I think I have a spare in my garage that I'll let go for $15 shipped. (Hopefully, someone else will jump in here and beat my price.)

If you decide to go that route, please try the local places first if you can, though, since those would probably be cheaper.

Hope this helps.

Personally, I would like to see a pic of the adapter plate. This is the first time ive ever heard of anything like this.

Huey,
My bad. The adapter plate is to reclock the vam to turbo connection on the turbo. At least this is what Jim B did to get his to work. I hope to have pictures Sunday.

The alternative is to just relocate the VAM, which will most likely already be done if you have done a K&N.

You are familiar with the expression "when the spirit moves"?? When the spirit moves you to send the parts I will port them [Image: biggrin.gif] I have so many people wanting my porting services that my policy is I don't turn on the die grinder until I see the part on my doorstep. Last I looked the grinder had cob webs on it [Image: biggrin.gif] E-mail me

There's really nothing complicated about it. Try to taper the outlet a bit (thicker towards the top) to help keep the hose clamped on. I ended up cutting a small notch out of the bottom of that rubber hose (where it would otherwise interfere with the compressor housing itself) so that it could be seated fully. It held up to 21-22psi at the track with no problems.

Do you mean like Dan Eaves picture in the tech articles? I have everything I need to do the front mount except for the K&N filter. So I wont need an adapter plate? I hadnt heard of those before either.

I just left my VAM in its stock location, I stuck a cone filter on the end of it and went on. As for the adapter plate, it just looks like a butterfly with 5 holes in it. 4 for the attachment bolts and one for the inlet (it is slightly larger than the inlet for the compressor housing). tlswart should be able to get the pics of it sometime today. He is pretty reliable like that.
