So i had to drive my old tbird 88 turbocoupe to work today. first started it and had no wipers and power windows. then everything started working. driving to work and went around a corner and it started to die and the headlights went dim and the overboost buzzer went off. never heard this before. anyway then continued on just like normal. got to work coming into the parking lot turned again and it died this time. got it restarted and parked it.

Does this sound like a failing ignition switch. if not that then any ideas.

thanks for any help on this.
Mike

Does sound pretty bizarre! Ignition switch or the battery is going dead.........I doubt the latter

+1 on ignition switch or ignition switch connector wiring due to high heat/melting

Agreed, change your ignition switch. My old 87 would do this while I was driving, all the warning lights would come on, the engine would die. I would have to cycle the switch off then on to get it to re-start and get back to normal. This was not fun while driving in traffic in Brooklyn on the BQE!
