I recently bought my dream car, 87 TC 5 SPD. I do not know much about these cars but I'm learning more every day and having fun doing so. However, their is a toggle switch just under the dash board in between the steering wheel and the ant./fuel/Firm ride switches. What do you guys think this toggle switch is for? or How can I test to ensure its function?

Having fun and loving it!!

Alarm? Fan switch? Secret oil slick? Flip it and see what happens! Trace the wires. Got a picture?

An added aftermarket toggle switch? No telling. The only way to be sure is to trace the wires and see where they go.

Welcome to the board!

I would guess that it's an aftermarket manual fan switch. My brother' 88 is wired up exactly the same way.

Definately a secret oil slick toggle. Smile
Like Joe said, follow the wires to what ever it might have been or still is.

Being the weather is now cooperating I finally traced one wire from the toggle switch on my dash to a small cylinder type thing by the VAM. The second wire was hooked to moble phone equipment that was disconnected. I took out the phone equipment and now the second wire is just hanging their. Could the cylinder type thing be a boost valve? Should I hook the other wire up to a power source?

Second question, My emergency brake light quite working and I see a green wire with a boot hanging and I think it connects to whatever work the instrument panel brake light but could not find on the E. Brake assembly where to plug it in. Any suggestion or advice?
