Hi everyone!
Does the V8 T-bird/Cougar and the TC have the same thickness sway bar? The sway bar out of a V6 T-bird is thinner than the V8/TC'S right? My little deal is that I went to salvage yard to where I always go, the T-bird/Cougar section, and I went back to the 87 V6 T-bird back there. I got the sway bar mounts, (the ones under the frame) and I tried to get both endlinks, and all the nuts and bolts, but I could only get one off, cause the other side about up to the hub on the brake rotor in mud, so I cant get to that one, unless I ask them to bring over there HUGE forklift and lift the car up...anyway, was this just a huge waste of time? I have the origional sway bar for my TC, and I compared it to the V6 one, it looks thinner, correct? And, the endlinks...I took the rubber bushings off the ends of the endlink I got off, and it looked like in a hexagon shape where the bushings fit over...is it supposed to be like that? Can I get the endlinks I need new? And, sitting right beside the V6 bird is a 87 XR-7....with a 302 in it. The front wheels were off it, and I could see the sway bar perfectly...Should I just get the mounts and endlinks off that XR-7 if I can get them? Everything is still under the hood, so It may be a little hard to get at...It looks the same thickness as my TC's....Also, are the frame mounting brackets all the same size, just the bushings are diffetent sizes? Sorry, tons of questions...Wanna get this thing on the road...
