i picked this up today at a swap meet for 10 bucks, and it included the coloumn. is this a SVO steering wheel or just similar.
i also noticed under the horn pad there are two more tabs for wire connections, are they possible for cruise control , with a differnt horn pad.
i going to relocate the cruise control switches, but wanted soem advice or input on the hron pad with crusie buttons.
so how does it look?

My son owns an SVO and said that's not an Svo
wheel. An SVO wheel has the leather sewn together around 9:00 and 3:00 on the wheel.
The two tabs underneath is for the horn. It looks like a GT wheel.

i ahev two tabs hooked up, ther are two more, and an extra ring for a third wire lead. i tried researchign thsi tonight but came up empty so far

ye ai have that lil circle int he center.
were SVO aviable with cruise control?
becuase if they wer ei can use a horn pad from one of them to keep the crusie ont he wheel.

That is a regular mid-eighties Mustang/Capri steering wheel and no you couldn't get cruise control on an SVO.
The SVO wheel looks like that but it was leather wrapped where as the rim on the wheel you have is "moulded" to simulate a leather wrapped wheel.
Looks nice on the T-Bird though. [Image: smile.gif]

I hope to see it in person on Wednesday night Brian. I know the 83-84 T-birds had the Cruise control on a staulk like the windshield wipers. If the SVO had cruise, thats where it would be.

the steering wheel is from an 85-86 mustang without cruise control.
86 turbo coupe (14.12 at 15 psi. sleeper) *gone*
...so you have a V8...isn't that cute...
