Well recnetly I bought a Greddy stye BPV. I didn't have the money to but a flange so I made my own. I bought a 1/2" piece of aluminum at a welding shop and cut out the shape. I then took it over to the local machine shop and asked him to drill the big center hole and surface it smooth & flat. Well I wasn't there when he dropped it off at work. As soon as I got back from lunch the guy the got it form them from me said" Wasn't he suposed to surface that?" I told him yes so he went and got it. Yes they had drilled out the center hole along with the two smaller outer holes. Plus the surface was rough as hell. Everyone I work with at the parts store was like that isn't surfaced. This was right in front of Carol. It is her husband that did the work. She even works there.
So any way one of the guy told me to take a thick piece of glass and put some sand paper on it and surface it my self. I did just that. I started with 220,then 400, next 600, last 800. Damm it looks awsome. Looks as smooth as the bottom of the BPV I bought. This should work for small parts. This only took me like 10min at most. That is with alluminum so it might take more work with harder metals.

84 T/c, 88 intake,I/C, injectors, hood, PC1 ecu, E6 manifold, Brown Tops, K$N open element, BPV. Way pay to run 8 cylinders when 4 plus a turbo will get you there quicker.
