Are the stock turbos off the 86 and down tc's super 60s or just 60 trim with a .48 or .63 a/r. I was wondering cause there is a good deal on the turbo calculator site on these turbos and was hoping the super 60 was an upgrade over stock earlier year cars. If not an upgrade and they are the same, well its better than my ihi!!! LOL!!!
1987 TC 5 speed. To date: AGP 50 trim T3/T4 .63 stage 2 turbo, Ebay bov, 28psi, 255hp pump, Kirban FPR, Ebay Front mount, Full 3 inch Exhaust, Ported Bob's Log, Megasquirt, 55lb. injectors, boport 1.5 cam, boxed lower control arms, Methanol Kit, Ram HD Clutch, front lowered 1/2 inch and E.T. Streets for the track. Best so far 12.5 at 110.8. still tuning.

The stock T3 on 83-86 TC were not Super 60s.
It is an upgrade but I'm not sure how big an upgrade it is

What is the difference between super 60 and 60?

The Super 60 is an upgrade over a factory T3 on our cars. It is a TINY upgrade though in the realm of things. If you already have a .60 trim T3 that is in good shape, don't bother buying the super 60.

hmmmmmm. Next question...... Why in the tech articles is there a super 60 flow analysis and not a 60 trim flow analysis. Thats what threw me off in the first place!!! Someone please tell me this was a mistake!! Hopefully the one who put it in there!! I just need to know for sure cause knowledge is power and power makes the tc faster!!! lol!!

Bang4, back when we started this organization, just after the "dawn of man", the "Super60" was THE Upgrade. Hybrids were almost unheard of and nobody knew what a Holset was.That article may have been the very first TA put up.

Yeah, the guy that started NATO bought a Super 60 for his car when he first modified it. I'd assume that's why the not-so-super 60 flow chart made it into the tech articles. Now he's fallen from the face of the planet and the chart remains.
