Alright I installed a 255 HP Fuel Pump, AFPR, new Brown Tops, Fuel Pressure Guage, and turned up the boost to about 17psi. I also put in a centerforce clutch to replace the slipping stock clutch. But anyway, in the high RPM's I'm gettin a studdering type of deal. Now heres what I have done to "fix" it. NEW TFI and PIP, Cap, Rotor, Wires, Plugs, dropped the tank again to make sure the pump was put in right, played w/ the fuel pressure (up and down), checked the intercooler hoses. I then turned the boost down to about 15psi and since then I havent noticed it doing that. Eventhough I only drove it once for about 10 min since I put it at 15psi. It didnt do it during that drive. Anyone have any idea what else it could be? Clogged fuel filter? Therefore not enough gas for the high boost? Vacuum leak somewhere? I'm stumped.

Did you replace the fuel filter? Is the knock sensor plugged in? If the knock sensor isn't plugged in then I would plug it in and try again. If that clears it up you probably were getting detonation.

Fuel Filter has been replaced. I believe the knock sensor is still plugged in, I never unplugged it and when I bought it it was completely stock. I havent checked tho. I was just out driving it and I've noticed it only happens when I have it floored all the way. I can kinda ease into it or half throttle it and it wont stumble or studder. Anymore ideas?

What kind of wires did you get? If you lift off of full throttle just a little does it clean up? My car fluttered a little at WOT and new wires cured it. Check the knock semsor. It is the upper sensor on the rear(towards firewall) of the lower intake. Sometimes detonation will feel like it fluttering.

I bought Autolite wires, and Autolite plugs. I'm not sure about if I lift off just a little cause I usually just lift off alot before I break anything. I'll check the knock sensor tomorrow morning when its light out again. What you think about the Autolite wires and plugs? What do you have your plugs gapped to?

I actually ran those wires up till this week. They had a lifetime warranty so I could replace them often. I've had sets last 2 years an some sets last 2 weeks. I gap my plugs at .32.

So should I bring them back? Get new wires and see what happens. I have mine gapped to .35 will that make much of a difference?

I wouldn't bother. That is fine. Did you have this problem before all those new parts? Do you still have the old wires you could retry?

Thats the thing, Ever since I bought the car, and started modding it, the clutch started slipping, so then knowing it'll be awhile before I put the centerforce that was in my first TC into this TC. I turned the boost down and babied the car. I then eventually fixed the clutch, and did the fuel upgrades in the same week so I cant tell if its something I did, or if the car always ran like that. I'm going to try a few things tomorrow. The boost guage vacuum line was crimped a little bit but I bent it back and put the guage in anyway. The vacuum reads 16-17 at idle. My first TC read 20. I do have a new vacuum line to put in tomorrow. I dont think thats the studdering problem but I want to see if it'll idle at 20 like it should. Then go from there. The hoses on the intercooler look fine, but I'm going to pull them off and use the ones off my old TC because I "knew" those didnt leak. Maybe these have a small pinhole in them. I'm really running out of ideas that can be the problem. Anyone else?

Come on, someone has to have an idea what it is? After school tomorrow, I want to try to fix it but I'm running out of ideas what it can be. Anyone else?
