Stumbles Off the line

Just put my new head with ranger roller and everything seemed fine .Then I disconnected the BCS hoses and hooked 1 hose between the 2 fittings. My problem is when I punch it off the line or in the 2200-3200 rpm range it stumbles sorta like a dead spot in a carb.... Any Ideas.....I think its timing.

Could be ignition timing but I would make sure the cam is in time also (first) Those would be the easiest things to check also.

Most likely it is one of the following components:

1. Spark plug gap too big, if your running more than stock boost set your gap to .030. AC delco Rapid fire #3's work AWESOME in 2.3 turbo's. Check your ignition wire connections for corrosion as well as the cap terminals and replace as needed.

2. An intake vacuum leak such as in the PCV valve line can cause that or a manifold to head leak.

3. Too much retard in your initial ignition timming setting

Your TPS being out of adjustment or bad could cause that as well. Did you bypass the BCS? Put the lines back the way they were and see if the problem goes away, if boost levels return to stock and the problem goes away then the hesitation could be caused by weak ignition. Check all your vacuum lines and intake hoses for cracks and loose clamps. If you simply connected the 2 fittings on the BCS with a hose you basically did nothing, and if you didnt cap off the fitting on the Turbo inlet then you have a vacuum leak between the turbo and vam.

I hooked the hose between the 2 fittings on the turbo(bypassing the BCS all together). All hoses are new.Problem seems not so bad with premium switch on.I will try everything suggested and then go from there.
Thanks
