Strut Question

Just got done replacing the front struts on my 88.Got a set of KYB nonadjustable struts.Got the ones for a mustang.Yes the bolt holes do not line up and the width of the mount to steering hub is larger.Just ground out a little metal on lower hole only.As for the width issue.Got some alignment shims and used that to take up the difference.Plan to come back later and replace the shims with some metal plates.Ran out of time to make them.Had to keep the bird rollin.Might want to replace the upper mounts or go with the camber/caster plates.Hope this is not too late.
