Well went out driving last night. Stopped to get gas and after i started to leave the car felt like it was back on three cylinders again. I pull over and cylinder 4 plug was popped out. After nursing it back home and waiting til morning i tried to put a new plug in it. New one goes in but will not tighten up all the way. I stopped as not to do any more damage then there is. How can i fix this with out having to pull the head off again?

I've personally never used the product, but it comes highly recommended by my good friend Jack Goodrich (Google "jack goodrich hotrod" if you're interested in his cars. Not Ford but *very* nice!).

I have done a lot of reading about the Timesert product and I've been very impressed by what I've seen. Yes, it's expensive but so is completely stripping down and removing you head to say nothing of time consuming. To me this seems to be the best thread repair kit on the market. Go HERE and look at the FORD SPARK PLUG THREAD REPAIR at the top. If you click the "Additional Vehicles" link you'll even find our TC's in the list!

There is also this method, if the threads are not completely destroyed.

ok please help me make sense of this? I figured before i did anything i would try to put the plug from another cylinder in before i did anything. Well guess what is went right in and stayed. I put new plugs in and the car is running just well. What cause the plug to just pop out like that. Also i now have a leak from the fitting on top of the turbo, guessing its a oil line. Is that just a threaded fitting?

One guess is the original plug was defective, didn't get torqued down, overtime, heat/cool cycles and vibration caused it to back out then get blown out.

Make sure thhe fitting on top of the turbo didn't crack. It has happened.
