In total agreement, can't stand cleaning these damn things. Would much rather be cleaning off some 5-spokes. Competing priorities still keep me from getting the rims I want. NOt only will they be easier to clean, they'll look much better.

although they are tough to keep clean, the uniqueness of them is worth it. an '87-'88 turbocoupe just doesn't look like a turbocoupe without them...

D) All of the above.

I think the snowflakes are awesome!! They really make the look of the 87/88 Turbo Coupe. However, they are a huge pain to clean. Even if they were easy to clean, I don't think you'd see them on too many other cars. I've seen them on Fox Mustangs and that is "an aquired taste". On the TCs though, snowflakes are tough to beat.

You are a funny kind of guy PeteD.
If you are a street racer? Keep them original. If showing off at the track? Tub it out and put some 10 wide rims on it. Better yet 12 inch.

My fingers actually hurt after getting in to all those nooks and crannies.Anyone ever use the Chip Foose Power Ball ? I would look forward to cleaning mine if it's as easy as he makes it look in the commercial.

The Mothers Power Ball is a POS it flings polish and does not get into the really small areas. It works on Bullit mags. A micro fiber cloth gets it done. The snowflakes are a design unique to the TurboCoupe just like the beak and hood scoops. I like them.

The first thing my eye catches on a TC is the snowflakes. The car can be dirty as hell, but if the wheels/tires are shining, it looks good.

I hate cleaning them- usually a toothbrush and a bucket are my tools to get the job done.

I had snowflakes on my 87 Mercury Cougar 5.0- I paid a pretty penny for them, too. I'll have to dig up my pic with me and my dad, TC and Cougar- nose-to-nose with our snowflakes parked illegally on the grass at the park- he took 2 of his center caps off of the other side of the TC and put them on the side of my cougar facing the camera Smile What a great memory.

It was hell hunting for some center caps with the cougar emblem that fit the snowflakes. I bought several sets off of ebay until I found the right ones. I remember that they were plastic, but they looked and fit good. They were a very dull "aluminum" job, but a little paint and they looked stock. They looked awesome, in my opinion. I got lots of compliments and the guys at coolcats started getting funny ideas Big Grin
I miss her. I sold her out of necessity to a guy that landed in jail (more than once, I almost took her back)- His brother "took" it to barstow one night, got chased by the police, blew it up and totalled it. She's gone to heaven now Sad

Gotta love the snowflakes. Mine stay permanently.
