Have a buddy whos looking into getting that PIMP system by Stinger soon and he need a Air Fuel gauge. We saw something about the PIMP system needing a Analog signal from the o2 sensor. Can somebody elaborate a bit and show us which Wideband he should be running. Its a Svo also btw.

It seems to me that most use an AEM Wideband with the Pimp. Here's one that would work.

If you scroll down you will see where it says, "0-5V analog output for use with data loggers and EMS units". That's what you need for the Pimp AFAIK. This is from what other people say as I do not have any kind of aftermarket engine management, myself. I'm 90% sure Dan S is now running a Pimp.

It goes straight to the Pimp as far as I know. The Pimp has an output to hook up a laptop.

so are you running two O2 sensors..one for the pimp and one for the stock ECU?? Or is the PIMP system replace the entire ECU?

Oh yeah do you guys typically run a separate O2 sensor for the wideband gauge?

I know this might seem confusing sorry about that lol

The Pimp replaces the stock computer altogether. You only need one wideband sensor. I don't know if the factory O2 sensor is used or not. I know you have to put the wideband sensor downstream a bit - like at the bottom of the downpipe. PM "Dan S" or "natmac3" and they can give you some better info.

unplug & remove stock eec, install aem wideband in place of factory O2 sensor, using factory O2 pigtail snipped off the old sensor, install pimp where the factory eec once was, run a hose for the map sensor... installation complete.

install tuner studio on laptop, connect to pimp with cable, and get to work! Smile

good quickstart instructions come with the kit & stinger/wes k support all users very well via the stingerperformance forums.

good job on the explanation B!

Pin 29 is the one I replace at the EEc/Pimp... Leaving the original o2 wire still there for the future. Im using Innovative LM1 from 2004....works great. I also have an A-pillar gauge...

I'm running the AEM 30-4100 Gauge-Type UEGO controller. The "Quick Setup Guide" (version 1.2 came with my PiMP) gives all the information you need to install the system. For best results, install the wideband sensor, in the horizontal section of the downpipe, near the transmission. You will need to have a bung welded into the pipe for the sensor.
