This links got some new (in progress of course) pics of the stereo in my TC. Only got one sub in there cuz, well look what happened to my other (new ones here finally). Anyway, the doors were somewhat raped to put those speakers in and it took some major time. I'm proud of it so thought I'd show it off. Gonna vinyl em probably (maybe red carpet....hm.). Lemme know what you think of it.

Looks pretty good. The first picture hurts until you see the speakers in place! I'm curious to see how you're going to finish it off. Besides all that, it's nice to see someone go for good all-around sound instead of just deep bass. I believe I'm the only one in Lorain who has good clear highs to go with my 12"s. You can actually hear the music while mine is turned up loud. People think that's amazing... [Image: smile.gif]

Plus, it sounds great with classical.

I got lots of highs right now, i got aset of tweeters in the dash, and a set on the doors where the cover for the mirrors are, and a set on my a-pillar. I got Pioneer 6 1/2's in the doors which are three ways, and 4-way pioneer 6x9 in the deck. Im in the process and fitting another set of 6 1/2'ds into the rear panels next to the back seat. after that ill be lookign for an amp. i cant find what im lookign for aroudn here. Either too expensive or no corssover in it. I need about 400-700 watts with a built in crossover for a resonable price,if anybody nows of one. i got all highs anbd mids and a tiny bit of bass from an out kickere with a 100 watt amp. If i ever buy an amp ill be able to put in my 12in Polk.

Pathogen: thats looking real good, what are you using to keep the window from rattleing when its up? ,my doors have a rattle to them when the window is all the way up or half way down, but not when its down.
i liek the set up you have on the doors gonna look good when its done. Kepe us posted on it

What happen to the one sub looks as if the cone got a lil to hot??

Windows don't rattle hardly at all. The door is filled with dynamat knock-off (building contracting stuff). Sub wise, the spider seperated from the pole piece (AKA screwed good). Most subs would have the pole piece shot thu the cone. This cone is aluminum..so it just dents nicely. I have another amp that goes on the left there. 12V rms ratings for what i've got: middle amp= infinity 202a: 997Wx1 bridged to 2 perfect 12s. 102a: 125x2 powering components. 54a (the one thats not there now) 75x4 powering the 8's and 6x9's in rear deck. I recommend everything I've got if you got current. The infinity's are class A amps, great sound quality but grossly inefficient. 202a has 2 80 amp power supplys, 102 as a single 80 as does the 54a. Major current needed. The 202a can be found on ebay for not much money. Thing glows green at night...(well all of em do).

Looks like a monster system. I would have suggested you score a set of non turbo door panels. They look easier to hack up. Good to hear you sealed up the doors. Nothing worse than hearing a bunch of rattling. I like to hear the music and listen to a wide variety. Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Stevey Ray Vaghn, Michael Hedges, Jimi Hendrix (the list of the dead) ZZ top, BB King, AC/DC ... God I'm glad CD's came along.

Heard a set of Polk 5 1/2 speakes the other day that blew my mind. They were delivering sound across the spectrum. 2 of these with just a standard 50 watt indash will surprise you because they are very efficient. Not sure if I would even add a subwoofer. I think they were around $400 a pair which sounds expensive but you don't need as much power or additional speakers to make it work.

Your list of mods looks similar to my fantasy engine (I'm too cheap to stroke it). What kind of times do you get with the IHI and what pressure are you running?
