Welp, I got the black TC fired up a couple hours ago-after 3 months of pain(waiting). Other than alot of steam coming out the exhaust(must be from sitting so long or the old motor blew water into it when it gave up the ghost)-the steam did slowly go away, it ran really well. No knocks(thanks Lx-tasy for a very solid shortblock), ticks, or anything else!
Now, the heater core...

..just an update..
I took the car for its first long drive. To put it very mildly, this car is f'n awesome!! Its a 100% bone stocker down to the airbox, but will still put you in the seat! To top it off...its very quiet but has an "ok" drone at 2-25K.
All in all, I give the 88 Turbocoupe 2 thumbs up!
Oh yeah, my other TC drives/feels NO WHERE like this one. Wonder why?
