well cence the bamafuel deal went way south. i did some reserching on the who thing . i was wondering on how hard it would be to build my own. i found a web site withe basicly evey thing. it dosent seem to difficult.i would go to turbo ford but i dont need to opena who nother message board thing well hear it is read up and let me know what you think.

From all the reports I've read of that vendor it would be a good place to purchase a kit and accessories. If you want info on MegaSquirt then turboford is the place to search.

I am seriously thinking about the same method, but am not sure just how hard it would be. That is A LOT of soldering, not to mention the pin spacing on the DB conectors would make it a real bear....

That's nothing, the pin spacing on the DB connectors is easy compared to surface mount stuff. Actually, there are a couple transistors on a V3 board that are much tighter spacing than the DB. You need to get some kind of kit to practice with before committing to a MS build. You could get a Stim kit and try putting that together first or just get an electronics hobby project of some kind that would come with instructions and everything you need to put together.
