Does anyone else here running the SPEC III get a squeaking noise as you're engaging the clutch? I thought this was suspension for the longest time, but its definately my clutch. I was thinking maybe the flywheel is glazed. Any thoughts on this?

My pedal squeaks inside the car when its let up. Could be ballstud lacks lube or diaphragm springs. I don't think glazing would squeak, probably the clutch would slip.

Don,
The clutch is definately not squeaking. Is there something on the sprung hub that can squeak? Its not the pedal because it won't do it if the car is off.

You mean slipping, right? There are a bunch of things that could squeak because when you engage the clutch you are releasing the tension on the springs that push the pressure plate against the clutch plate and there could be rubbing there. The clutch plate has springs to lessen the shock of engagement by allowing the splined hub to move relative to the friction material so there is the possibility of the plate with the hub rubbing the plates with the friction material. I suppose the SPEC III clutch has higher rate springs in the clutch cover as well as higher friction in the plate than a stock clutch so the engagement is more abrupt possibly making more movement in the plate. I think if the plate is squeaking it wasn't put together properly or the wrong springs were used.

My motor mounts are in pretty bad shape, I supposed it could be those too? As torque is applied, the motor slowly shifts and makes the mounts squeak. I'll tie my mounts up tomorrow and let you guys know.
