Squeaking coming from wheels.

Hey everyone, I have this highly annoying squeaking coming from my front passenger tires. It started when I went to the lake and went down numerous dirt roads. I *think* its dust in the calipers, but I am not sure because it doesnt seem to be going away. I have tried taking the tire off and lubricating the calipers and pads, but it still squeaks. Please help me before this noise drives me insane and causes me to shoot a hole in my tire! Thanks, Will Jackson

is it a steady "brake" soundig squeek, or does it sound like a heavier deeper squeek that only only happens when the car suspension moves. thats what I have. I think i have to change all of the rubber components...they look dried out.

Yeah, mine has a new rotor and caliper in the front left and I still have a squeaking sound.

My next project has got to be to replace my ball joints and all of my control arm bushings (front and rear) !!!!

If it stops when you tap the brakes, it seems to me that the brakes may need changed. Check your brakes and see if they are getting low on pads. Disc brake pads are now equipped with what they call "squealers" or "squeakers" to let you know when the brakes are getting worn too low.

Well, mine does that too...stop when I touch the brakes I mean.

It did it before I changed the rotors and pads...and it still does it afterwards ????

I repacked the inner and outer bearings on the rotors too !!!

It's really bothering me since I thought my brake job would take care of it...so all I can think is maybe it's the ball joint allowing the spindle to shake and touching the brake stops the spindle from moving a little ????

I'd like other opinions !!!

When you replaced your pads did you place some grease on the metal ends that slides in and out on your caliper? I did this with mine and so far no squeak.
